ProcessWe've defined a process that identifies each other's roles and responsibilities for the following purposes:
Here is a description of how this process would work (after you've signed the Engagement Letter and agreed on the scope of work in a Statement Of Work):
Pre-Engagement DiscussionsIn our initial meeting we will explain how we work and the services we can provide to you. We will provide you with a questionnaire and a checklist that you can use to assemble the information we need to build your web site. Fill out Web Site Questionnaire & ChecklistUsing the knowledge you have of your business, you will answer questions that will help guide us in the structuring of your web site. This phase is where you lay out your vision of the site, including the titles of the pages you plan to have. You will then need to provide us with any logo, pictures, and content for those pages. Determine Web Site Structure, Look and Content We will discuss and clarify your input and vision to insure that this web site will meet your expectations and goals. Build Web SiteUsing the information from our discussions, the Questionnaire and the Checklist, we will assemble your web site. The amount of effort is based on the usage of web design tools and the fixed scope in terms of number of pages, their content, and the number of pictures. In addition to constructing the web site we edit your content and proofread it for grammatical and spelling errors. Once the web site is complete we will either send you a CD for review or publish it to our temporary site: www.linkedtogether.com. Upon receipt of the payment for the registration of your domain name and the establishment of the web hosting account, we will place your order through our provider. This process usually take 48 hours, and will ensure your ownership of the domain name and location on the world wide web for a period of 2 years, at which time it will be subject to renewal. We have a preferred provider, for which we already have established procedures. If you want us to use a web site provider you have selected, we will be happy to honor your request. However, we reserve the right to increase the amount charged for registration due to the extra effort involved. Review Web Site ContentBy viewing your web site on the CD, or through our temporary web site, you will be able to make notes of any changes you may want to make to its content or appearance. Review Web Site UpdatesTogether we finalize the content and appearance of your web site in accordance with your objectives. We will also define keywords from your website that could be used by search engines in order to locate your site. Update Web SiteWe update the web site with the changes we've agreed to. Publish Web Site We publish your site, using your domain name, to the web host provider. It is now available for public viewing. |
